VDMA conference in Langen: AI claim meets reality

Two topics took center stage at the VDMA conference in Langen: artificial intelligence and end-to-end sales processes. Andreas Hüller and Holger Reimsbach were there for 4PACE.
It became clear: AI is set and experiments are no longer enough.
Companies expect productively integrated solutions with measurable benefits in the process.

Four requirements that have clearly emerged:

AI works where data is structured and processes are defined. Without a clean database, it reinforces existing ambiguities.
In addition to AI, it became clear that 3D configuration and end-to-end processes are gaining in strategic importance.
3D is seen as a sales tool to make variants comprehensible and to visualize technical feasibility at an early stage.

Our conclusion

The market is not looking for individual tools. It is looking for resilient system architectures: configuration, pricing logic, visualization and ERP must function as an integrated process. Isolated solutions do not generate speed.
Many thanks to all participants for the open exchange and the great organization VDMA!
